Top Ten Hitting Windy City

Mon, 02/15/2016 - 20:00

2016 Detroit Motors is in the past now, and 2016 Chicago Auto Show is making the great sound in the USA. The event is believed to play backseat to Motown, however, it is still considered to be the best place to unveil those turn-key models that were not fully ready for NAIAS. So what fabulous concepts tend to become crowd pleasers in this year’ Windy City? Let’s check!

1. 2017 Kia Optima plug-in hybrid

For this year, Kia outfits an all-new plug-in Optima hybrid variant for green-drivers. It appears to pick up the exterior of the 2016 Optima sedan, but slightly improved. The model is powered by a 2-litre inline-4 154-hp engine, electric oil pump and water-cooled transmission offering profitable fuel efficiency. The key updated feature: Driver Assistance System that let you maximize fuel economy.

2. 2017 Kia Niro Hybrid

Green-concentrated drivers rule again! To be promoted as an eco-car, this hybrid vehicle made its debut here. The bold design appears not to resemble a typical hybrid, though, the model successfully combines its subcompact crossover market segment with the 50mph fuel economy rating.

3.

Kudos to Renntech, this truck apparently bears the palm of the coolest ever customized Sprinters! Ridiculously-looking, the Extreme Concept is closely associated with a Jurassic Park old-gold movie and features a vinyl wrapping nuttier than squirrel shit!

4. 2017 Nissan Armada

After an ongoing run, the redesigned full-size SUV faces its second generation at last. However, the design sounds quite familiar to Infiniti QX80. The 2017 handy model is powered by a 5.6-litre V8 317hp engine sharing the platform with the Patrol.

5.

After conquering the Antarctic, the Winter Warriors capture the Windy City. Three crossovers, the Rogue, Murano and Pathfinder, provide a must-have edge in the Snowmageddon (if any). They are wrapped in Fiery-Red vinyl, they are boasting an improved clearance and they look the meanest badass in the show floor. That reminds me! Have you checked this Winter Warrior snowy footage?

6. 2017 Chevrolet Camaro SS 1LE

The car maker debuts with its first performance version for the 6-gen Camaro at the event. The main accent is significantly made on improved brakes, performance-oriented tires and suspension components. The 1LE package will be provided for the track-focused V-8 and V-6 Camaros. The most distinctive feature for 2017 is visually considered to be a matt satin-black hood.

7.

Based on the 2500 HD Crew Cab, the 2017 Power Wagon underpins the hardcore fascia of 2015 RAM Rebel, with 6 optional unique paint palette trims and 2 different gloss graphics onboard.  The heavy-duty truck explores extremely off-road prowess due to upgraded suspension.

8. 2017 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro

Believed to be a successor of the previous similar Tacoma, this upgraded TRD Pro is expected to enter sales market in 2016. The latest family member, the black-dressed pick-up features the new front springs, heavily modified off-road suspension and a unique heritage-styled front grille.

9. 2017 Honda Ridgeline

This saucy pickup has already been revealed at 2016 NAIAS. However, the car maker makes some customization of the 2017 Ridgeline for Chicago as well. The Japanese team set to demonstrate how to personalize your mid-size pickup with some versatile accessories. A brandname Genuine Accessories Kit is aimed to emphasize the style and attractiveness of the truck, with deep black fender flares and 18-inch black alloy wheels equipped with all-terrain tires.

10. 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe \ Santa Fe Sport

Rolling out 2017 Santa Fe, Hyundai hugely expanded the choices optional for its configuration. Two-row Sport crossover, along with the three-row Santa Fe, bear some styling changes with refreshed fascia and redesigned headlights and taillights. The Ultimate option package offers some onboard smart safety technology and this should win the points.
