After two decades of absence, BMW made the return of its new flagship, the 2019 8 Series Coupe, back to the US. The all-new 523bhp sports lineup-header is aimed to replace the 6 Series, features the xDrive AWD system and elaborated the new, driver-focused, design language for the brand. It is expected that first long-awaited deliveries arriving in late fall, 2018.

The exterior underpins the stretched look of the old 8-Series version with a low roofline, fastback-coupe lines, the long, though sharper, nose, and slim A-pillars. The most prominent alteration is considered to be the massive kidney grille with large aero intakes, twin exhaust system and sleek rear fenders. Intake covers, which are aimed to control airflow, enclose the underbody almost completely.

Another mint detail is the new turbo 4.4-liter V8; its Twin Power Turbo system means using two turbochargers, to boost air into the engine. From the moment of launch, two engine will be available – a 3.0-litre turbodiesel straight-six making 316bhp and running from a standstill to 62mph in 4.9 seconds; and a 4.4-litre biturbo V8 showing 0-62mph time in 3.7 seconds, and kicking out 523bhp.
