Chevy buyers will have the new special edition (arrive at dealerships this spring) boasting dramatic exterior styling and the $1,000 paint coat. The Detroit automaker introduced the Tahoe Custom Edition last year for those who appreciate towing capability and focus on utility. And for those who certainly don’t want to overpay for super-duper killa premium features you don’t ever want. Now, a fresh version delivered – the 2018 Chevrolet Tahoe Custom Midnight Special Edition with almost no chrome parts and blackened exterior modifications. However, GM hasn’t revealed its pricing.

The Chevy Midnight shares its platform with the entry-level Tahoe, so it’s a five-seater without the third row of seats folded flat. Instead of, increased rear 54-cubic feet cargo space is available. The rear-wheel-drive is a standard guise, the four-wheel-drive will be optional. Along with this, GM will offer a special package including a host of safety technologies like lane departure warning or automatic emergency braking, also optional.

A brutal dose of style, that’s the point of the 2018 Chevrolet Tahoe Custom Midnight Special Edition. Painted all-black, it rides on 18-inch blacked out wheels wrapped in a smashing set of Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac all-terrain tires. Chrome parts are vanishingly small; the grille, the bowtie emblems and the badging are all-black too.
