Volkswagen is going to pull the cloth off a sporty-looking R-Line package of its Arteon four-door sedan; we could observe it in its full glory at the New York Auto Show next week. However, these modifications are only cosmetic – that means the package is mostly about the look.
Available on all trim levels, the new R-Line package includes the badging of the same name, bespoke 19- or 20-inch wheels, a distinctive front bumper and a sleek gloss black rear spoiler. In addition, the exterior benefits from hawkish R-Line air inlets, cover panels and preppy - gloss black again! – air intakes. Inside, contrast stitching adorns the shift knob and the steering wheel, along with a black headliner, paddle shifters and stainless steel sill covers ornamented with the same R-Line logo. Also included are metallic trim accents and pedal covers.
Pricing of the appearance package is so far unknown; stay tuned for the NAIAS.
